Art from Real Life: TAMU Students Collect
January 20 - March 13, 2009
This special exhibition features collections from the Galleries’ student docents. In addition to their academics here at Texas A&M University many of the docents use their free time to volunteer in the Galleries. They spend hours learning about the permanent collection, giving tours, attending Galleries events, and traveling on art related field trips. Outside the Galleries the docents also have collections of their own. Each student has their own collecting philosophy and moments that define the reasons for choosing each piece. Come see the students' collections and find out how and why they collect. |
