Gods in the Western Midlands: The Immortal Achievements of Wedgwood, Woodall & Webb
February 23 – May 13, 2018
Forsyth Galleries

The exhibition, guest curated by TAMU Associate Professor of English Susan B. Egenolf, pairs works by 18th century potter Josiah Wedgwood with those of 19th century cameo glass artists Thomas and George Woodall who worked for the firm of Thomas Webb & Sons. These decorative artists worked in the British West Midlands some fifty miles and about 100 years apart, reproducing classical methods and forms in the midst of the Industrial Revolution.
