Painting the Southwest

August 20 – December 14, 2016

Painting the Southwest features works by founding members of the influential Taos Society of Artists; the turn-of-the-20th-century art colony that helped to shape Taos, New Mexico, into the thriving artists community that it is today. Paintings from the Forsyth Galleries’ Bill and Irma Runyon Art Collection are joined with pieces generously loaned by the Museum of Western Art in Kerrville, Texas. Artists include Joseph Henry Sharp, E. Irving Couse and Oscar E. Berninghaus.
