Parallel Fields features the works of Kathleen Elliot, Kaethe Kauffman, and Bobbie Moline-Kramer. These artists veil deeper personal concerns through their use of objects, materials, and individual approaches. The subtext and elusive messages resonate and connect in “parallel fields” of our awareness, as a fearful and titillating glimpse of contemporary reality.
Elliot deals with the dietary dangers of processed food and widespread abuses in our food supply; Kauffman’s enigmatic images explore the journey to enlightenment through heightened body awareness; Moline-Kramer’s animated abstractions with only partially revealed facial features are a gripping commentary of our carefully hidden inner states.
